getting around the spellbreakers of Blessed Griffons
I just thought I'd share something with you guys. I noticed last night that the Griffon's spellbreaker affects the cast release only. So if you have a spell that doesn't require a target (inferno) or a splash spell (meteor, firestorm, heat, etc) then you can target something close to the pheonix and still do decent dmg to them.

Right, I told my ele friend that when I dragged him to Camp Rankor and he couldn't do anything. Lava Burst, Lava Font, and Inferno were what he mainly used.
Unfortunately, if you're fighting Blessed Griffons at Snake Dance, odds are, most of the mobs have few other monsters, and the ones that do tend not to swarm you like the griffons, barring the Azure Shadows.
If there're Azure Shadows, then cast away! The arcanists you'll have to run right up next to to get the griffons to follow you there if you want the effect of your targeted AoE spells. And they'll make sure the trip takes twice as long. (Crippling Anguish, ugh)
Otherwise, you're limited to PbAoE's, and attacks. Conjure _____ is good to bring for the down-time.

If you have a necromancer, have them bring Chilblains. When the griffons clump around, hit Chilblains and it'll strip the enchantment off of all of the griffons.

My favourite method for dealing with them griffons is Maelstrom. Drop a cheap, fast hex on one straight away, and it'll stand still and cast smite hex. Whilst it's doing that drop Maelstrom on his head. Not only will it then be unable to cast Spell Breaker for 10 seconds (as well as any next to it,), but it will try to cast it and be interrupted, meaning it won't be able to use it until it's recharged (45 seconds).
If it all goes wrong, I just cast Conjure Frost and start shooting.

even funnier:
A mesmer with fastcasting and malestorm makes grifforns spellbreaker and holy wraith worthless.
